Director of Biological Sciences Division. Current research focus is on microbial processes which influence radionuclide and metal mobility, biodegradation of radionuclide/metal-organic complexes, microbiology of mixed organic - radionuclide waste, subsurface microbiology, and biogeochemical cycling of N and C in arid lands.
